If an urgent hospitalization is requested, you should warn or make warn the doctor of your Embassy to estimate at best your clinical state and steer you so towards the most adapted structure of care.

- For trips to Beijing of twelve weeks or less, we recommend vaccination against typhoid, tetanus, polio and hepatitis A.
- For longer trips and trips to rural areas, we recommend in addition vaccination against diphtheria, hepatitis B, Japanese encephalitis and the BCG vaccine.
- Hepatitis A : a course of two with a single booster after 10 years; this vaccination is not recommended for children
- Hepatitis B : a course of three with a single booster after 5 years
- Japanese Encephalitis : a course of three with a single booster after 3 years
- Typhoid : a single injection with a single booster after 3 years
- Tetanus : a course of three with a single booster after 10 years
- Polio : once only administration of drops with a single booster after 10 years
- BCG (for protection against TB) : a heaf test is done on the forearm, which indicates if the full vaccine is needed. Immunity expected to be about 20+ years.
